By providing strategic direction to the enterprise-wide Supply function, Global Supply plays an important part in the business's continued success. The ultimate objective of our Supply network is to lower costs and improve effectiveness at operations through outstanding Supply capabilities.
We seek an achievement-oriented professional, with proven high commercial exposure, effective analytical, industrial processes and negotiation skills, to facilitate and implement strategic solutions for the Global Supply group.
Reporting to the Global Supply Manager, this role involves:
• Contract performance management
• Supplier relationship management with key suppliers
• Effective communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders regarding commercial opportunities and procurement/negotiation strategies
• Strong financial skills to evaluate supplier solvency
• Research and analyse internal and external market dynamics to proactively identify supply risks and opportunities
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Lead/support inbound supply mining related equipment and parts commercial negotiations
• Track relevant contract KPIs and ensure compliance
• Co-ordinate the collation, analysis and delivery of accurate forecast equipment requirements
• Analysis and reporting of market intelligence including supplier financials, capacity, M&A activity and market demand
• Implement supplier relationship management processes including the use of relevant e-business systems
• Development and submission of category reporting requirements
Engineering or Commerce Degrees with experience in the resources or related industries is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience with exposure to complex practices and procedures
• Secondary qualifications (e.g. MBA or equivalent) would be highly regarded
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with contemporary industry safety standards, protocols and procedures
• Strong leadership qualities with capacity to challenge the status quo and successfully lead change
• High proficiency in sourcing, developing and managing commercial supply contracts
• Superior communication (written and verbal), facilitation and interpersonal skills, essential to building constructive relationships with a diversity of stakeholders
• Proficient with the MS Office suite applications. Well-developed analysis, modelling and research skills highly valued
• Familiarity with SAP environments and applications will be considered a plus
• Verbal and written language skills in English are mandatory. Spanish will be highly regarded
• International travel will be required
