Due to a promotion, our client, an International Financial Services Business, requires a senior leader in the technology field to join them as their Head of Technology Operations for Malaysia. This person will provide local leadership across all country technology teams in Malaysia and will contribute to employee engagement, talent acquisition development, performance and retention.
The Country Head of Technology Operations is the one face and voice for technology to country – both internally in the eyes of country management and externally to the technology community in Malaysia. As a business partner, the incumbent takes primary ownership in country business engagement and communication to drive and influence the technology agenda for Malaysia in alignment with the Group Technology strategy. They will also direct support from all technology players to ensure delivery of the best technology solutions in time, within budget, with the least risks and the highest service continuity.
Is accountable for all in country technology service delivery and for initiation of country specific projects.
Creates an effective technology delivery mechanism for Country CEO/Management Team in order to derive maximum benefit for the businesses.
Creates a roadmap for Country Technology strategy and align both business and Technology initiatives to be consistent with Group directions.
Effectively supports country businesses in determination of alternatives and prioritizations for various business initiatives and align them with Global priorities.
Creates Technology service focus – tracking, reporting, continuous improvements.
Ensures and monitors Service Level Agreements for various technology deliverables across the businesses with focus on end customer impact.
Manages country specific demands vis-à-vis supply/group standards.
Represents Country to Global Technology and representing Global Technology to country.
Provides cross-team technology people leadership in the country for example in talent development, performance leveling, employee engagement and communications.
Manages technology risks, compliance to local regulatory requirements as well as group policies for technology compliance.
Manages local in-country vendors.
