This position will be responsible to provide specialist investment advice to key clients and acts in concert with Relationship Managers throughout the business.
The Investment Advisors liaise with product specialists within the product development team to discuss client requirements and ensure that new and existing product development reflects the needs and reality of the market. They also operate in concert with Relationship Managers to ensure clients are informed and confident with their investments and portfolio
Investment Advice Provision
• Provide advice on quality of clients’ existing portfolio based on sound asset allocation principles
• Understand client risk appetite, investment preference and return expectations through consultation with Client Advisor and in direct client meetings
• Trusted investment advisor of choice, e.g., acts as sounding board for competitor proposals
• Provide timely analysis of market and product information
• Be capable of addressing multi-asset class and different product requirements
• Review client investment portfolios on an annual basis
• Educate Client Advisors on new product ideas
Solution Generation
• Provision of relevant solutions given client needs / objectives
• Understand specific client issues, including restrictions, to provide optimal solutions
• Identify opportunities/solutions from the wider SCB group which benefit the client
• Focus on suitability of investments for clients
Product Development
• Collaboratively create new products with central product development team
• Generate new product ideas through understanding client needs and providing feedback to the central product team
• Keep abreast of 3rd party product offering to enhance ability to advise clients
Sales
• Direct marketing to certain clients and co-marketing with Client Advisors
• Deliver solutions / proposals which lead to action by clients
• Promote higher share of wallet from clients
Transaction Execution
• Timely and accurate dealing of client orders
• Track and provide regular feedback on processed transactions/ solution to client
• Create further client opportunities through high quality problem resolution
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:-
• Several years investment and product experience
• Broad multi product and multi asset class experience
• Sales / selling skills
• Strong relationship skills
• Risk / Regulatory knowledge
• Linguistic skills aligned to client base is an advantage
