Job Description

Our Client is a world leading trading house. They are one of the major players in the trading world with over 100,000 employees and over US$ 100 billion in annual sales and revenue. They provide innovative solutions to customers across major market segments; including agriculture and food and energy and natural resources. Some of their major businesses include the trading and distribution of agricultural commodities, manufacturing and sale of livestock and feed, trading in energy, steel and transport, and the production of food ingredients. They also provide risk management and financial solutions to both their customers and their own businesses in the markets of oil, gas, energy and resources. Due to an expansion of the Company's Trade & Structured Finance business, they are currently seeking a young professional with experience in commodity & trade financing, and different types of financial services, products & structures for the following role.

Purpose:
The Origination Trader will be a member of the Company's Trade & Structured Finance team and report direct to the Manager - Origination, Asia Pacific & Middle East. Majority of the Company's finance transactions originate from developing economies that includes trade finance, commodity financing, foreign exchange, interest rate, credit directional, as well as arbitrage structures. He/She is responsible for the Company's trade structured finance transactions that are often attached to commodities aspect, for both Company's own internal interest and also external customers.

Qualification:
"    Bachelors/Masters Degree in Banking & Finance/Finance/Economics/Commerce and/or other relevant discipline

Experience & Technical Competencies:
"    Some commercial experience within MNC environment
"    Knowledgeable on trade finance, including understanding of banking, treasury activities and marketing derivatives
"    Understanding of macroeconomic trends, interest rates & Forex markets and the functioning of banking sector
"    Proven track record of strong relationship building & maintaining with clients

Languages:
"    Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
"    Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia & Mandarin/Hokkien is essential
