POSITION DESCRIPTION



•Responsible for managing the China manufacturing and logistics operations at Kun Shan, China. The Plant manager is responsible for

Operations P&L Responsibility;

Development and execution of a strategy to improve operational efficiency and new products;

Development of annual budgets, departmental goals, capital investment plans each fiscal year. Plans must achieve corporate metric requirements.

• Work closely with peers and colleagues in manufacturing, planning, finance, sales, engineering, etc. both at a local and global level to achieve the global goals of the overall business.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Has excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles and methods utilizing Lean techniques and Six Sigma in particular.

• Integrates and leverages knowledge of the current and future needs of the operations into mid and long-term strategic plans and objectives.

• Maintains a broad knowledge of manufacturing adjacent activities including; Product Development, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain and can operate within a matrix organization with these groups to achieve collective objectives.

• Guided with strategic objectives, policies and mid and long-term business goals, acts independently within the scope of responsibility.

• Works with influence, team building and empowering approaches to motivate and drive cultural change to meet or exceed Company expectations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

•Has acquired a high level educational degree in Engineering or equivalent. Complimented with an MBA degree will be an advantage.

• Must have proven and successful experience as a Supervisor and Manager.

• Knowledge of China local tax system.

• Experience in Auto Parts industry.

• Experience in price / terms negotiations with suppliers and service providers.

• Has a proven track record and minimum 5 years’ experience in managing a mid-sized plant.

• Must be fluent in the English and Mandarin languages.
