This represents a very different picture from this time last year as the global financial crisis cast its shadow upon China. Banks seem sufficiently confident to implement extensive hiring plans.

It appears that there exists a high level of confidence in the Government stimulus package and other initiatives ensuring stability within the sector even if at times it puts a temporary dampener on growth. There is a strong sense of optimism within the sector and banks are increasing confident about their future prospects in the Mainland.
