Job Description

Our Client is an Indian multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It encompasses seven business sectors: communications and information technology, engineering, materials, services, energy, consumer products and chemicals. It has operations in more than 80 countries across six continents. As part of their expansion plans into Indonesia they require for an experienced Steel Trader to join the team based in Jakarta.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The candidate will be responsible for selling of Steel products (both flat, long and semi products) in local market with sourcing from local and AP suppliers. He/She needs to arrange freight bookings, process shipping documents and handle customers’ enquiries.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate responsibilities are below.

1. Sell a Volume of : 50Kt - 80Kt

2. Mainly sell to importers, some export also and selling to end users, stockists. The candidate should have strong b relationship with importers/customers

3. The successful candidate will be selling mainly long products - billet, wire rod, Flat products - plates and cold rolled.

4. He/She needs to arrange freight bookings, process shipping documents and handle customers’ enquiries.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

•Minimum 3 years experience in steel trading and sourcing;

•Familiar with local steel market with experience in AP region will be an advantage;

•Customer/supplier focused and willing to work under pressure;

•Strong interpersonal skills;

•Proficiency in written and spoken English;

•Stationed in Indonesia;

•Occasional travel will be required.
