Job Description

Our Client is a world leading trading house. They are one of the major players in the trading world with over 100,000 employees and over US$ 100 billion in annual sales and revenue. They provide innovative solutions to customers across major market segments; including agriculture and food and energy and natural resources. Some of their major businesses include the trading and distribution of agricultural commodities, manufacturing and sale of livestock and feed, trading in energy, steel and transport, and the production of food ingredients. They also provide risk management and financial solutions to both their customers and their own businesses in the markets of oil, gas, energy and resources. Due to the Company's strategic plans to invest heavily for the growth and expansion of their palm oil business; they are currently seeking to invite a senior plantation managerial professional with extensive experience and in-depth understanding of upstream palm plantation business management to join them in their Indonesia office.

Purpose:
The General Manager - Plantation is a director level seniority role within the business and looks after the key management functions of human capital, asset utilization & preservation, operational performance, environment, health & safety (EHS), and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The main purpose of operations is to maximize crude palm oil, kernel and palm kernel oil productivity. The method will utilize a balanced scorecard approach and optimize the capital & operational cost structures. He/She is accountable for corporate requirements at the assigned locations concerning legal & ethical behaviors, EHS, CSR, and employee well-being & engagement.

Qualification:
"    Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring analytical thought processes and problem solving

Experience & Technical Competencies:
"    Significant years of working experience in responsible engineering work
"    Some years of experience in directing engineering personnel in a various of technical areas, preparing Capital Improvement Projects, end end-to-end project management
"    Proven strong technical insight and sound judgment to direct other engineers in the solution of unusual problems
"    Capability of implementing a Capital Improvement plan through budget and scheduling process
"    Ability to use and apply engineering economics principles
"    Excellent organizational skills in order to keep work flowing smoothly, lines of authority and areas of responsibilities are clearly defined
"    Able to explained ideas, concepts, and projects in a clear and concise manner to small and large groups whom may or may not be familiar with electric utility industry
"    Experienced in applying and directing others in the application of theoretical concepts to practical problems
"    Proficient in both English, & Bahasa Indonesia
