POSITION DESCRIPTION
To support the company’s strategic and financial targets by reinforcing China local sourcing with a strong and competent sourcing team.
To enable “local-local” strategy and development of local sourcing intelligence
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Industry: Marine (CMH division)
Reports to: Global Sourcing VP
Operationally integrates the Supplier with the company’s Divisions
Vendor Management (APQC 10280)
Contracting (APQC 10290-91)
Supplier selection (APQC 10288)
Material cost planning
Manages Tactical Sourcing Processes
Implements the company’s Vendor Management tools, “must be” and others needed.
SRM is responsible to solve any delivery, quality or service related problems, when escalated.
Assures that the supplier receives and uses forecasts from the company’s Divisions
Organizes and manages regular business reviews with the suppliers
Co-operates in supplier development actions
Actively participate in product development
Follows up that the agreed actions are performed
Assures that the spirit of the Contract is fulfilled.
Risk management – financial control etc.
Promotes and implement Supplier Chain Financing
Health and Safety responsibilities
Responsible for securing own and co-workers’ safety and health with all possible means.
Description of subordinate / function responsibilities if applicable.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Master degree, ideally in a technical discipline (mechanical, design, automation, etc…)
Experience
Minimum 5 year’s professional experience in Procurement / Sourcing in offshore/ship building industry
Competencies
Strong negotiation skills.
Fluent English and Chinese communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in matrix organization and ability to manage and influence others
Willingness to travel are needed to perform well
