Our client is a medium sized group of companies with headquarters in south-west Germany. It has sales subsidiaries in 16 countries and employs700 staff in total. Its customers are mainly industrial companies which integrate their products in their manufactures as well as technical specialized traders. POSITION DESCRIPTION

For this interesting pioneer work, the group is looking for a Sales Engineer that shows solid technical direct sales and distributor management experience and most importantly the true intention to grow with a striving company on a long term basis and take over greater responsibility in the future.

In 2013 the company has established its own sales subsidiary in Taicang to further increase its market presence in China. The first year of operation has been quite successful and due to a strong growth in business they are now expanding to further develop the sales in the Chinese market.

Core Accountabilities:

Developing new customers who will benefit from the company´s products and services in the designated region

Maintenance and expansion of the distributor network, establishing long-term relationships

Managing and interpreting customer requirements and needs.

Travelling to visit potential customers in all China if required

Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.

Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education

Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.

Persuading clients that a high quality product and service will best satisfy their needs.

Negotiating tender and contract terms

Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions.

Recording and maintaining client contact data.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Highly independent and transparent to management of mother company at the same time.

Fluent English speaking and writing ability that enables to report to the headquarters, negotiate terms and conditions with customers and liaise with key accounts on a daily basis without any problems

Solid sales experience and achievements of sophisticated technical products in both a direct and distributor model.

University degree in a technical discipline.

A full driving license.
