POSITION DESCRIPTION

Manage and take responsibility for the Procurement (& Estimating) department at the tactical, strategic and operational levels and maintain and advise on internal and external contacts with existing and potential customers, on behalf of or in consultation with the Project Managers, with the approval of the Office Director, taking account of the guidelines set out in the Balanced Score Card / Operational Plan, in order to achieve an optimum performance of the department and to contribute to Our client’s profitability as a whole.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Plan (OP):

Formulate an annual BSC and/or OP for the approval of the Office Director and then ensure its realization, in accordance with the specifications indicated by the Office Director, in order to achieve the department’s objectives.

Capacity utilization rate:

Prepare and regularly adjust both one’s own work plans and those of department staff, and take general measures to achieve the highest possible capacity utilization rate, in accordance with the guidelines issued, in order to achieve the highest possible staff occupation rate within the department.

Acquisitions and marketing:

Maintain and advise on contacts with existing internal and external customers and develop contacts with new customers, in cooperation and consultation with the Office Director and within our client’s business environment and strategy, in order to detect opportunities, acquire new commissions, replenish the order portfolio and extend our client’s reputation.

Reporting:

Report to the Office Director at regular intervals, in particular concerning the department’s results, capacity utilization rate, and work in progress, in order to give the Office Director an insight into the department’s financial and operational situation.

Tebodin Quality System (TQS)

Take responsibility for quality, safety, health, well-being and the environment within the department and its projects, in accordance with TQS policy and the rules in the TQS manuals, in order to assure the quality of the work and the safety, health, well-being and environment of the staff.

Technical quality and processing of commissions

Coordinate and take responsibility for communication towards staff on the department’s working methods and production, within our client’s and the office’s quality guidelines, requirements and standards and in consultation with other departments within and outside one’s own office, in order to assure the technical quality within the department

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Educational qualification BSc/ MSc

Professional and intellectual level: BSc/ MSc

Work experience: at least 5 years, at least 3 years at management level

Knowledge of / experience with engineering industry

Proactive

Working under pressure

Good command of English, both in writing and speaking
