Job Description

Our Client is an international leading Group with HQ in Germany. The group employs over 15000 people with more than 50 locations worldwide; their expertise is in the international automotive and mechanical engineering industries.

The group’s product portfolio includes filter systems, air intake systems, liquid filters and several other product groups

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Local and international commodity resource investigation;

Commdities: Tooling, Die Casting and Oil Cooler

Follow up until PPAP (get support from QA)

Management of RFQs (requests for quotation) and Summary of Quotation

Commercial and technical discussions

Feedback to the project teams (team includes Engineering, Quality, etc.)

To fulfill PER and BoM requirements

Material price development control to achieve annual savings

To develop and take the responsibility for Ratio Projects, supplier changes

To conduct performance assessment on suppliers;

To comply with Corporate Purchasing Process Methods and Tools;

To developing a SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)

Familiar with Suppliers PPM rate; Suppliers Quality complains rate; VRS

Knowledge of engineering, or fast learning in regards of our product specifications (filtration products)

Requirements

Business Administration, Finance or Engineering degree.

English language skills – Essential

3 to 5 years of purchasing previous experience in Automotive Industry.

Experience in supplier development, experience with sourcing Tooling, Die casting and/or Oil Filters

Previous work experience in multinational/global companies.

SAP knowledge (MM).

Knowledge and understanding on drawings, technical data, etc.

Negotiation skills.

Effective communication or ability to handle a sometimes pressurized environment.

Remarks

Foreign and local candidates will be considered for this position.

Travelling around China, and less frequent to other countries.

Flexibility in respect of working hours as may be required.

Flexibility for traveling within China and abroad (1-2 times per month)
