Job Description
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Group Board Director responsible for S E Asia, this person has responsibility for managing projects, providing support and local knowledge in order to develop the business, growth and profitability in line with the business plan.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage projects and work transferred to and from other offices effectively and efficiently in addition to Singapore office project work;
• Promote, develop and expand the company’s architectural business, across all sectors, as well as the Interiors and Planning business throughout South-East Asia, and specifically within Singapore;
• Demonstrate the highest professional standards and to act as an “Ambassador” for the Company;
• Excellent regional knowledge, identifying new work opportunities in Singapore and South-East Asia in general and excellent and proven job winning experience from new and existing clients;
• Together with the other Directors, set financial targets for each year and take responsibility for delivering both the fee income and profit set out in an agreed budget.
Specific Responsibilities
• Develop effective and commercially viable client relationships;
• Develop and apply commercial acumen in client interactions;
• Generate profitable sales/business development initiatives from new and existing clients.
• Reporting on progress, opportunities and key issues within the South-East Asia architectural business unit.
• Carry out architectural commissions and work in conjunctions with the other Directors to promote, win and deliver projects requiring an integrated (planning, architectural and interiors) design led quality service.
• Lead and guide architectural work to ensure that the quality and values promoted by the company are maintained.
• Ensure individual projects are adequately resourced and that their progress is monitored and managed to achieve the required profitability.
• Demonstrate leadership by motivating and managing people and teams effectively.
• Demonstrate technical competency with all round ability. Know how and when to get the best out of others.
• Provide support for, commitment to, and participation in new strategic direction.
• Ensure client satisfaction and endeavour to build and maintain long term quality client relationships.
• Develop Client relationships and actively promote the winning of business for the Practice.
• Encourage and promote high standards of design and efficient ways of working.

The Person
• Qualified Architect – ARB/RIBA and/or Singapore Registered Architect
• Proven ability in similar role
