Job Description

Our Client is a world leader in the refractory products with EUR 500 million turnover, over 15 production sites in 16 countries with more than 25 country sales offices. They provide value-added refractory solutions by supplying the most comprehensive range of products for the steel, foundry, iron, aluminium, cement, thermal industries and petrochemical markets. Along with the materials, the company provides design, installation, maintenance, and repair service support as well. Due to business expansion within Japan, they are looking to invite an experienced finance professional within the Industrial/Manufacturing industry to join them as a Business Controller in their Japan office.

Purpose:
The Business Controller reports directly to the General Manager – Japan. He/She is fully responsible for the finance function of their operations in Japan. The Business Controller would be in charge of monthly financial performance review covering sales price evolution, sales profitability by customers, material purchase cost evolution, manufacturing cost and cost variance, and OPEX by departments.
    
Qualification:
•    Masters/Bachelors in Finance/Accounting/Business and/or other relevant discipline
•    MBA is preferable
•    CPA is highly advantageous

Experience & Technical Competencies:
•    Excellent knowledge in accounting, costing and financial reporting process
•    Solid analysis experience particularly in finance
•    Knowledge of operations, sales and/or purchasing process would be key successful factors
•    Good understanding of business processes, reporting process and information flow
•    Experience in multinational companies and working environment

Languages:
•    Fluent in Japanese and English

•    Nagoya, Japan
•    Weekly travelling required to one plant located next to Nagoya
